server check?

when is the server check. whenever i click genesisMS it says either you are not online or maplestory is going through a server check. did i download it correctly. for some reason i cant type the last letter of the alphebet so my email address is s eto_alan@yahoo.com there is the last letter of the alphebet betwen s and e. Crying or Very sad Shocked
